The Internet made me do it!

I’ve mentioned the bulletin board that I participate on once before. Well, the word participate really exaggerates my involvement. I’m more of a lurker and slow poster. I’m not nearly as witty with the words as some women are. I’m not really the “rah rah” cheerleader when people are looking for support of stupid things. I’m also aware of the fact that even though they can’t see me, they’re still people. I think that somehow people forget that those posts aren’t just typed by random robots, but real people. True, sometimes they’re a little outlandish. Even more true, sometimes real people make up pretend people to post on those boards. But, still, when it gets down to it, real people sit there with their fingers on the keys and type. And, sometimes, the real people with the really outlandish stories are really the real thing. BUT, because no one sees us and we don’t communicate with our voices, we sometimes say things that would be better as edited text left in the trash. I liken it to growing balls and forgetting to count to ten.
