Introduction

I sat down to write a blog thinking, “I’m articulate, bright, thoughtful...this should be no problem.” And yet, here I am 3 weeks later still trying to figure out what to say. I read blog after blog on the web and think that it looks like a walk in the park. Over the course of the last three weeks I’ve decided that more is needed than the simple desire to make money blogging and then retire fat and happy (without the fat part, of course). In fact, simply having the ability to write a properly constructed sentence isn’t enough. If only I knew what I needed - perhaps, a gimmick, I’ll write about my day. Well, that would be a bore and would hardly fill a paragraph, let alone an entire blog. Maybe it takes wit - well, I’m really hosed there. I was the girl in school who would try to make a joke and would end up surrounded by puzzled looks. I could write about “geeky” stuff, but that’s hardly gonna pull in the readers. Here’s the deal, I simply can’t come up with a topic. Quite a dilemma, eh? So, I’ve decided to write down a couple of “thought provoking” topics and will address those until something a little more sustainable comes up. Perhaps my distinction will be to have the most boring blog on the Web. Hopefully not, but as an overachiever it seems that whatever I do I should try to be the best.
